Recurrent training basically is a refresher of knowledge, pilots and in particular “Airline Pilots” are required to conduct recurrent training at scheduled intervals to keep their expertise conversant with current requirements. Recurrent pilot’s training is required by Aviation Authorities and Industry Regulators to ensure crew members are also up to date with changes and revisions.
Several courses are required for the theoretical recurrent training and here are some examples: Performance Based Navigation (PBN), Low Visibility Operations (LVO), Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT), Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM), Dangerous Goods (DGR) and more.
